flight to the U.S.?
I'm afraid.
Außländerfeindlichkeit The fuel prices and increased substantially in recent months. The President is no longer the hostile power of the country - much worse has occurred. I feel that the debate at home every Days escalates, we pour 7 million barrels of oil on the fire burning for decades.
But I have not seen - had not been staring at this terrible news with your own eyes.
Now I can not ignore's more or escape. America is for me always been two countries: the home of all my beautiful society, acquaintance, kinship, and also the seat of a greedy multi-minority whose politics I abhor with all my strength. I am first again. I have seen these friends not even a year ago. Although I recognize that a country is not his policy, that there are several Politics in America is. But these diverse opinions, I will not be excited to see lit. Memories of politics are to be avoided at me before. And since before I'm afraid. Not so much. But a little bit.
sit for the second time in 3 days I was in Hamburg, this time, waiting for my flight to Paris / Cincinnati / Omaha. I bring as much baggage - winter clothes, shoes, stolen street signs, books, etc - so I need as much to send by air mail in July. The big suitcase was 25 € ... uh, 7 kg too heavy. I have not complained, nothing would have increased. At 19:10 (local time ... with 2:10 to honest German watches) have I arrived in Nebraska, through the connections between Paris and Cincinnati (a damn city in Ohio). Ben has already booked me a room. That is, this evening at half past 8, I have an appointment with the insides of my eyelids. Tomorrow I get up at 8 to refresh, and the madness begins. Starting tomorrow, I share a room with Alon. We be anything but boring / sobering.
2 days ago I was in Hamburg, with Sarah. We were starving on the train, and have now eaten Indian food, until we no longer felt anorexic. Culinary Proposal I: Gobinda , in the long line, almost at the central station, next to the red giant Asian market. The vegetarian Lunch offers are not to be missed. So cheap and yet so satisfying. The soy meat balls are delicious. The weather was typical, so shitty, dirty with low cloud cover, which could touch us nearly. We wanted to go to the Kunsthalle. The moment when we stood at the door, "Mondays: closed," read, it started to rain down on us. After a cold hour under the roof of the gallery, we were quite dry again, and we have dared to go outside. For a change it was nice and sunny. To continue to annoy us the universe has had in the beginning but our subsequent cruise there are two stupid women next to us. We do not steadily the grinning Zicken want to hammer the food would I have on board I ordered some beer, and we have drunk us while we watched the historic warehouse district and harbor. Were funneled a total of four times. The captain was really funny and entertaining, and gave us a lot of talks about Hamburch. We stepped out, have eaten chips and cake, bought new shirts at H & M, took pictures with the various water men in Hamburg. In the evening we were back on the Inner Alster, to find a restaurant that we could afford. Culinary Proposal II: Cafe Melange. Located right on the City Hall lock. Cheap, köööööööstliches Food. We had cream of asparagus soup, spaghetti with pesto, and my favorite Duckstein. (Sarah's has also liked.) At 9 we were done, and at 10:30 we were back in Lüneburg.
must
After so many days' journey's, I admit: I would like to hamburgers. I'm in love with an American. And yet (or exactly because of that?) I long more and more to Germany. Yes you can believe me: my stay in the U.S. is only temporary.
